Fontezoppa – its very name expresses a strong and bitter-sweet determination with strong ties with the ancient spring where today the vineyards lie. A determination which binds it to the names, emotions and memories that the land and spaces evoke and to the folklore that unfolds from the memories of people who know that they owe their body and soul to this land.
Fontezoppa is today the end result of a project that has by no means been completed; a project which started in cellars where essential principles are expressed as harmony, and where cement, wood, steel and even the casks seem to stand still in time, among the vineyards which in turn change each and every day from bare branches to tender green buds, in symmetrical lines along the hillsides.
...and perhaps it is not difficult to understand why our businessmen never tire of drinking in these hillside and their memories or loving the names that come from tradition. Some of our vineyards are in Civitanova and others in Serrapetrona. Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet and Lacrima, Maceratino, Incrocio Bruni and Pecorino are the vineyards established around Civitanova Alta, at just a glance from the sea.
