Serrapetrona
At Serrapetrona there are mainly plantations of Vernaccia nera, but also some Pinot nero and older plantations of Sangiovese.
Serrapetrona, where the Blue Mountains ensure a unique microclimate and the colour of the mountain slopes changes unexpectedly due to extensive mineral deposits, is still today an important promise of the Marche Region wine making scenario.
This is the natural environment of the Vernaccia nera. A grape variety with ancient spices which has been today been rediscovered and experimented by each and every wine producer.
Gentle pressing brings out a perfect balance of sweet tannins and the fruity notes so perceivable in the Vernaccia, and all the other wines.
The densely planted vineyards reduce vegetation and enhance low yields per plant and in the Serrapetrona area, where weather, working and land conditions are often harsh, this becomes even more important in terms of valorising the small quantities of grapes produced.
The Morò comes from a careful selection of grapes and is today the wine that more than any other expresses the company’s focus on details that improve on the palate, above all when served with the spicy and elaborate dishes of the ancient gastronomy of the territory.
The Carapetto, perhaps more than the other wines, evokes a harmonisation with the magnificent inheritance passed on by the Nebbia which confirms that the gastronomic vocation of this land has very distant roots.
